Stock on hand

See the value of the stock you hold at the end of each month, product by product.

Overview

The Products report under Reports opens Stock On Hand. It shows the value of your closing stock at the end of each month, and a product-by-product balance for any month you choose.

Stock On Hand

Each line gives the closing stock at the end of a month and its value, starting Closing stock, end of. From the second month on, the line also shows how much the value went up or down since the month before. The list can take a minute or two to load the first time.

Stock Balances

Stock Balances lists each product you held stock of in one month.

Column What it shows
Product Code The product’s code.
Product Name The product’s description.
Stock On Hand How many you held.
Cost Price The cost of one.
Total Stock on hand multiplied by cost price.

Total at the bottom adds up every line. Products with no stock are left out.

Step by step: see the stock balances for a month
  1. Click Settings in the header.
  2. Click Products under Reports.
  3. Click Click to load balances….
  4. Click -1 to go back a month, or +1 to go forward.

The month shown sits between the two buttons. You cannot go past the current month: Smartworks shows Cannot select a future month.
