Purchase order settings

Set the delivery address, purchases account and statuses new purchase orders start with.

Overview

Purchase Order Settings fill in the defaults for every new purchase order. They set the delivery address, the Xero account purchases go to, the status a new purchase order starts in on desktop and mobile, and the statuses offered when you receive products.

The choices

  • Default Delivery Address is a text box. Type the address and click Save beside it.
  • Default Purchases Account lists your Xero chart of accounts as code and name, plus - None -. The account you pick replaces the account code set on each product.
  • Receiving Statuses lets you tick several purchase order statuses. It saves when you close the list.
  • Desktop Default Purchase Order Status and Mobile Default Purchase Order Status each list the purchase order statuses. Both start as draft.
Step by step: set the default delivery address
  1. Click Settings in the header.
  2. Click Purchase Orders under Feature.
  3. Type the address in the box beside Default Delivery Address.
  4. Click Save beside that box.

Lists on this page save as soon as you pick from them. Smartworks shows Field updated.
