Plant and equipment

Keep the list of plant and equipment, each linked to the product it is charged as.

Overview

The Plant/Equipment page lists the equipment your business uses. Each item has a name and is linked to a product. You add new equipment at the top of the page and rename or remove it in the table below.

Step by step: add equipment
  1. Click Settings in the header, then Plant/Equipment.
  2. Enter a Name.
  3. Click Select Product.
  4. Pick the product the equipment is charged as.
  5. Click Add.

Smartworks shows Successfully created equipment! and the item appears in the table. Add stays greyed out until both a name and a product are chosen.

Column What it shows
Name The equipment’s name. Type in the box to rename it.
Product The linked product. Click it to pick a different one.
Save and Delete for that item.

Save comes on once you change the name or product. Delete asks you to confirm with OK.

Good to know

Names

A name needs at least 3 characters and must not match another item’s name. The page shows At least 3 characters are required or Name already in use when it does not.

Equipment on a job cannot be deleted

Delete is greyed out for equipment that is assigned to a job. Hovering over it shows This item is currently assigned to a job.
