Product groups
Group your products so your team finds the right one quickly when adding them to a job.
A product group is a named set of products, such as the parts for one kind of job. When your team adds products to a job in the mobile app, they pick a product group first and then a product from it. The Product Groups page lists your groups, and Add New Product Group creates one.

The Product Groups list
Each row shows a group’s name. Click the name, or Edit, to change the group. Click Delete to remove it. Smartworks asks Delete Product Group? first, and you click OK to confirm.
If you have no groups yet, the page says No product groups have been created and shows Add Product Group.
Product group settings
| Setting | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Combine Product Groups On or off | Displays Product Groups as a select menu if enabled. If disabled, individual buttons will be shown for all Product Groups. | Off |
With Combine Product Groups on, the mobile app shows your product groups as one drop-down list. With it off, the mobile app shows a button for each group.
Adding or editing a group

The page lists your products by Code and Description, with a checkbox on each row. Click a row to tick or untick it. The checkbox at the top of the table ticks or unticks every product the list is showing.
