Your timesheets

See the time you have logged by day and week, add an entry, and correct one.

Overview

Timesheets lists the time you have logged, a day at a time, with a total for each week. Most time arrives there when you stop work on a job. You can also add an entry by hand for a job, and fix an entry until the office has processed it.

The Timesheets screen, listing days with the hours logged on each and a weekly total

The list

Open it from the TIMESHEET button on the home screen, or Timesheets in the menu. Each row is a day, with the hours logged on it. Tap a day to see its entries. Each entry shows:

  • Pending and its hours, in green, while the office has not processed it yet. Pending entries show a pencil and open for editing when you tap them.
  • Submitted and its hours, in orange, once the office has processed it. A submitted entry no longer opens.
  • Job and the job number, then the customer and job name.
  • The entry’s note, if it has one.
  • START: and END: times.

Total for week: shows the hours for each week. You have no timesheets shows until your first entry.

Add an entry

The + button at the top right of the list opens Create Timesheet. It is shown only when standalone timesheet entry is switched on.

The list only offers jobs that are not complete. If a job is completed or voided after you pick it, Job Unavailable tells you so and clears the job. Saving without a job shows You must select a job.

Labour Code lists the labour codes set up for you, with the first one chosen. Local timezone: under the buttons shows the time zone the entry is recorded in.

Simple hour entry

When simple hour entry is switched on, you enter hours instead of start and end times. Date stays, and +0:15, +0:30 and +1:00 add time to the Duration while -0:30 and -0:15 take it away. The entry ends at the current time on the date you chose. In the list, entries show no START: and END: times.

Notes

Notes is shown only when the timesheet notes field is switched on. When notes are mandatory, the label shows an asterisk and saving without one shows You must provide a note. Add notes to job? starts switched on and also adds the note to the job’s Job Notes.

Good to know

Lunch breaks

When you stop work on a job, Deduct Lunch Break? takes a lunch break out of the time. The job gets the time less the break, and the break is logged as its own entry on the lunch break job. Bookings on that job show in My Jobs but do not open. See Start and stop work.
